How do I remove unnecessary requests after recording with JMeter?

In JMeter, the scripts recorded may include some unnecessary requests. You can follow the steps below to remove these extra requests:

  1. Open JMeter and select the script that needs to be modified.
  2. Expand the “Thread Group” in the test plan tree and locate the recorded HTTP requests.
  3. Right click on the request you want to delete and select “Delete”.
  4. Confirm the deletion action.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all unnecessary requests are deleted.

Furthermore, you can also customize and modify scripts using other features of JMeter, such as:

  1. Include assertions: Add assertions to each request to verify if the response is as expected.
  2. Alter the request parameters: change the values in the request to test different scenarios.
  3. Adjusting thread group configuration: changing parameters such as concurrent users, loop count, etc. in the thread group to simulate realistic load.
  4. Add a logic controller: Use a logic controller to manage the execution flow of requests, such as loop controllers, conditional controllers, etc.

You can customize and modify the recorded script to meet your testing needs through the above steps and features.
