How to resolve errors when nginx requests data that is too large?
When using Nginx as a reverse proxy server for request forwarding, an error may occur if the request data is too large. This is because, by default, the client_max_body_size parameter in Nginx limits the maximum size of the request body.
To address this issue, you can follow these steps:
- nginx’s configuration file is located at /etc/nginx/nginx.conf.
- Configuration files for nginx are located in /etc/nginx/conf.d/
- The protocol used for transferring data over the internet.
- maximum size of the client’s body
- limit the client’s file size to 100 megabytes.
- maximum body size allowed for the client is set to zero.
- Save and close the configuration file.
- test the nginx configuration
- Reload nginx.
- The retest request should no longer result in an error.
After modifying the configuration file, it may be necessary to restart the Nginx service for the changes to take effect. Use the command systemctl restart nginx to restart the Nginx service.
Additionally, if the request data is too large causing the backend server to be unable to process it, you may also need to consider adjusting the configuration of the backend server to ensure it has enough resources to handle a large amount of data requests.
