What is the purpose of the nvidia-smi command?

The nvidia-smi command is used to query and monitor the status and performance of NVIDIA GPU devices. It provides detailed information about the GPU, including its model, driver version, memory usage, temperature, power consumption, computing power, and so on. Additionally, nvidia-smi can also show the running GPU processes and their resource usage, and allow some operations to manage and control GPU devices, such as rebooting, setting power limits, adjusting GPU clock frequencies, and more. This command is very useful in the development and debugging process of machine learning, deep learning, and other GPU-intensive tasks.
