How to set up a Django environment in PyCharm?

Setting up a Django environment in PyCharm is very simple, just follow the steps below:

  1. Open PyCharm and create a new project, selecting the Django project type.
  2. During the project creation process, PyCharm will prompt you to select the Django version and the project path. Choose the Django version you want to use and set the project path.
  3. After creating the project, open it and navigate to “File” -> “Settings” in the top menu of PyCharm.
  4. Find the “Project: project name” option in the settings window and then click on “Python Interpreter”.
  5. Click on the plus button in the Python Interpreter dropdown menu, choose “Existing environment,” and select the Python interpreter where your Django environment is located.
  6. Clicking “OK” will save the settings, and PyCharm will automatically configure the Django environment and display it in the Python Interpreter.

Now that you have successfully set up the Django environment, you can start developing Django applications.
