How to view network connections and port states in Linux?

To view the network connections and port status of a Linux system, you can use the following command:

  1. Check the network connection status.
netstat -tuln

This command will display the current network connection status of the system, including TCP and UDP connections, and list the ports that are currently listening.

  1. Check the connection status of a specific port.
netstat -tuln | grep <port_number>

Replace the port number with the specific port number you want to view, this will only display the connection status of that port.

  1. Check the status of the listening ports.
ss -lntu

This command will display the TCP and UDP ports currently being listened on by the system.

  1. View established port connections:
ss -antup

This command will display the TCP connections and UDP ports established on the current system.

  1. View all network connections and listening ports.
ss -antup

This command will display all network connections and listening ports on the current system.

With the above command, you can view the current network connection status and port state of the system, in order to monitor and manage network connections in a timely manner.
