How to check the multipath status in Linux?

To check the multipath status in a Linux system, you can use the following command:

  1. The “multipath -ll” command displays all multipath devices and their status in the system, showing information such as device names, paths, and status.
  2. The command “multipath -v3” can be used to view more detailed information about multipath devices, including the status of each path, I/O statistics, and more.
  3. You can use the “multipath -l” command to view the status of configured multipath devices in the system.
  4. The command “multipath -t” can be used to test if all paths of a multi-path device are working properly.
  5. The command “multipathd show paths” can be used to view information about the paths of multipath devices, such as the status, weight, and priority of each path.

The command needs to be executed with root privileges. Also, you can obtain status information of multipath devices by viewing files in the /sys/class/block/ directory. Each multipath device has a corresponding directory in that directory, which contains various information about the device.
