How to create users and permissions in Nagios?

To create users and permissions in Nagios, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Accessing the web interface for Nagios.
  2. Click on the “Admin” option in the left menu.
  3. On the “Admin” interface, locate the “Users” option and click to enter.
  4. On the “Users” interface, click the “Add new user” button in the top right corner.
  5. Fill in the user’s username, password, and contact information, etc. on the new user addition page.
  6. In the “Permissions” section, select the user’s permission level. You can choose from different levels such as “Normal,” “Admin,” or “Configuration.”
  7. Next, you can assign specific host and service permissions to users. You can choose specific hosts and services, as well as set the level of permissions users have for these hosts and services.
  8. Click on the “Save” button to save the settings for the new user.

By following the above steps, you can successfully create a new user in Nagios and set their permissions. Please note that you need to log in as an administrator in order to perform user and permission management operations.
