What is the method for partitioning a dual-boot system with Ubuntu?

When installing Ubuntu with a dual boot system, you can partition your hard drive using the following steps:

  1. Open the Disk Management tool in the Windows system by right-clicking on “My Computer” or “This PC,” selecting “Manage,” and then choosing “Disk Management.”
  2. Shrink the partition containing the Windows system in Disk Management to make space for the Ubuntu system. It is recommended to reserve at least 20GB of space for installing Ubuntu.
  3. During the installation process of Ubuntu, choose manual partitioning installation method.
  4. Specify a partition for installation on the Ubuntu system, including the root partition (/), swap partition, and boot partition (/boot).
  5. You can also create a /home partition to store personal files as needed.
  6. After finishing the partition setup, continue with the installation of the Ubuntu system and follow the instructions provided.

Please make sure to backup important data before partitioning to prevent data loss.
