LiveData是架构模式的一部分。它基本上是一个包含原始/集合类型的数据持有者。它用于观察视图的变化,并在其处于活动状态时更新视图。因此,LiveData是生命周期感知的。我们知道ViewModel用于将数据传递给View。仅使用ViewModel可能是一项繁琐且昂贵的操作,因为每次数据需要改变视图时,我们都需要进行多个调用。此外,我们还需要在不同的位置存储数据模型。LiveData基于观察者模式,使得ViewModel和View之间的通信变得简单。它会观察数据的变化,并自动更新数据,而不是我们在多个位置进行多次添加和删除数据引用的调用(例如SQLite,ArrayList,ViewModel)。

Android的LiveData与RxJava的对比。

Android LiveData与RxJava相似,不过LiveData具有生命周期感知能力。如果视图处于后台,它不会在视图中更新数据,从而帮助我们避免了IllegalStateException等异常。在ViewModel中,我们如何更新Activity中的LiveData?当我们在Activity中注册Observer时,需要覆写onChanged()方法。当LiveData发生变化时,onChanged()方法会被触发。因此,在onChanged()方法中,我们可以将变化的LiveData更新到视图中。

LiveData是一种数据类型,当数据发生变化时会通知其观察者。LiveData就像一个数据变化的通知器。

LiveData通过调用setValue()和postValue()来通知观察者。setValue()在主线程上运行,而postValue()在后台线程上运行。调用LiveData类型实例的getValue()会返回当前数据。

可变数据

MutableLiveData只是一个扩展了LiveData类型的类。MutableLiveData常用,因为它公开提供了postValue()和setValue()方法,而LiveData类并不提供。LiveData/MutableLiveData在从集合类型(List、ArrayList等)更新RecyclerView中的数据中常用。在接下来的部分,我们将创建一个应用程序,从SQLite数据库中添加/删除RecyclerView中的行。我们将使用MutableLiveData,以便在LiveData更改时更新RecyclerView记录。我们将使用DiffUtil通过比较旧的和新的ArrayList来更新最少数量的RecyclerView行。
